- 1 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1-1/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon each ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions
1. Grease and flour 2 small loaf pans.
2. Preheat oven to 350.
3. In a large bowl, beat the
applesauce, sugar and oil. Blend well at lowest speed of mixer. Beat 1 ½ minutes.
Add egg and beat 1 ½ min.
4. Combine the flour, baking soda,
salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves; gradually beat into applesauce
mixture until blended. Stir in the raisins and walnuts.
5. Pour into greased baking pans.
Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 35-40
