Honey Bun Cake


  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (8oz.) sour cream
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup nuts optional


Preheat oven to 325.
Mix together cake mix, oil, eggs and sour cream. Pour ½ batter into pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle ½ over the batter and swirl with a knife. Top with remaining batter and other ½ of cinnamon sugar mixture. Add nuts to the batter and topping if desired.
Bake 325 degrees for 40 minutes. Cake will be moist in the center.

2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together thin enough to pour. Pour over cake while it is still hot.
