The Original Boy Friend Cookies
1 cup butter, softened (2 sticks)
1 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/3 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 ½ c. rolled oats
1 1/2c chopped nuts
1- 6 oz. chocolate chips

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour and baking soda; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
3.Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. A small spring-loaded cookie scoop works well. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. from Mom's Recipe Box
