Cheese Straws


·        2 sticks Butter
·        1 lb. sharp cheese (grate your own)
·        3 cups plain flour
·        ½ t. salt
·        ½ t. cayenne pepper

Cream together butter and cheese at room temperature.  Add flour salt and pepper a little at a time. Dough will be firm. Do not overwork dough.
To make wafers: divide dough and roll into logs. Wrap in wax paper and chill. Slice and bake 350 for 10 min.
