1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake
mix
14 oz. caramels
¾ c. margarine
¼ c. evaporated milk
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate
morsels
1 c. chopped nuts
Mix cake mix according to the
directions on the box. Pour one half of the batter in a 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake
15 minutes at 350 degrees. Prepare the filling as the cake bakes.
Melt 14 oz. caramels, 1/2 c.
margarine, and 1/4 c. evaporated milk over medium heat.
Pour over warm cake. Sprinkle
all the chocolate chips and ½ the nuts over the caramel filling. Use the
remaining batter to cover the filling. Sprinkle the remaining nuts evenly of
the batter and bake an additional 20 minutes at 350.
